Our Business

（1）Optical Sheet Segment

The optical sheet business utilizes our Coating and Sheeting technologies to develop, manufacture, and sell optical sheet materials including diffusion films and polarization control films, etc. used in LCDs for smartphones, tablets, notebook PCs, and in-vehicle displays.
OPALUS, diffusion film and our main product, is one of the components of the backlight unit, which is the light source for LCDs, and is a plastic film that has the function of eliminating unevenness of light and diffusing light evenly. It also plays a role in saving electricity by brightening the entire display with a small amount of light source.
In addition to these films, we also utilize our sheeting technology to produce high-function optical films that combine resins with various properties in a composite manner. It is possible to add functions (high hardness, scratch resistance, optical performance, heat resistance, antifouling, antireflection, etc.) according to needs.
This film is expected to be used in various sensor applications that require higher precision and functionality over diffusion film, , as well as in in-vehicle displays for next-generation automobiles.

（2）Life & Environment Innovation Segment

The Life & Environmental Innovation Business is a business that has been cultivated over many years since our founding and is one of our core businesses that generates stable earnings. In this business, we manufacture and sell packaging materials and industrial materials with specific functions (moisture-proof, heat-resistant, durable, weather-resistant, peelable, etc.) added by coating and laminating paper, film, and other materials, as well as by laminating our own sheet-formed film.
Packaging materials are essential for manufacturing Packaging materials are essential for manufacturing processes in various industries, such as corrosion inhibiting paper that protects cold-rolled steel plates and other metal products from moisture and prevents rust from forming.
Industrial materials consist of engineering paper and custom products. Engineering paper is an industrial material that serves as a support for products such as synthetic leather, urethane foam/urethane film, and carbon fiber in the manufacturing process, and at the same time, it has the function of imprinting a shape on the surface (stamping uneven patterns, etc.), and its applications (end products) are diverse. In addition, custom products are a generic term for a variety of products that are customized according to the customer's function, and we mainly manufacture and sell building materials.
In addition to the above, we manufacture and sell agricultural materials that ensure light penetration during greenhouse cultivation of vegetables and fruits and protect crops from pests and contaminated water, and back sheets that protect the inside of solar cells in photovoltaic power generation from external environment such as moisture in the air and ultraviolet rays, and prevent deterioration over a long-term period.

（3）The Plaster Tape to Rescue the Earth Segment

The Plaster Tape to Rescue the Earth Business handles the KYŌZIN series of products developed to solve the structural problems of declining construction workforce and low labor productivity faced by the construction industry in repairing aging infrastructure structures, which has become a serious problem in recent years.
"KYŌZIN Re-Roof" method, currently our main product, is a completely new method for repairing aging roofs of general housing, factories, facilities, etc., by providing waterproofing, durability, flexibility, etc., and making roofs more durable simply by applying the sheet and the special primer.
KYŌZIN Re-Roof is a highly durable coating material with a proven track record in civil engineering applications, which has been developed into a sheet by adding our own unique improvements, and by using special primers and adhesives developed for each type of adherend, it is possible to provide high adhesion to various structures.
In addition to this, we also have "KYŌZIN" method for infrastructure repair, which has been developed for different applications such as highway bridge piers and sewage, each of which is currently undergoing testing.
